Boys & Girls Clubs of the Altamaha Area

We exist to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

We are an after-school facility targeting boys and girls between the ages of 5-18. Programs include: Power Hour (homework assistance and tutoring), Money Matters, Project Learn and Youth of the Year. We have arts & crafts, computer classes, social recreation, special interest groups and athletics.

The biggest improvement is forming our own organization. We are now our own club, based in Wayne County and in the process of achieving our charter, based on requirements set forth by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

While membership is important, we like to measure impact by ADA (average daily attendance). Simply put, this is the number of members who come to our club on a daily basis. This past summer our ADA was 65. The previous school year's ADA was 100. We expect our numbers to rise.
